S.J.S Congregation’s social agenda is to see a thriving society where poor and needy have maximum opportunities to actualize themselves the way God created them to be.

Livelihood being a very important aspect of a person’s daily life, S.J.S Congregation sisters work in their respective mission stations to help facilitate people getting gainful and fulfilling employment.

Within its means, the Congregation provides employment to impoverished women, provides small business loans, facilitates seed banking so that small and marginal farmers are not dependent on seed companies, offers agriculture implements on easy terms, and, in a sustainable way provides livestock and fauna for undertaking  animal husbandry etc.

In addition, the Congregation provides employment for non-skilled lepers, widows and others that are differently-abled, and undertakes food for work program.
